\"Very light BEC unit (6.0 g / 0.21 oz). This battery eliminating circuit unit provides power to your receiver from your battery system and eliminates the additional battery for the receiver. Use it when you use 2 to 6 Lithium Cells. Provides a constant output of 5/6 Volts (Adjustable by Jumper), 3 Amp Continuous, 4 Amp Peak. Can be used with 4-7 Micro Servos.

Hifei UBEC-6S : The HiFei-BEC is a switch-mode BEC (Battery Eliminating Circuit) and is useful when you do not want to use a separate battery for the receiver. This works with flight batteries from 2 to 6 lithium polymer cells or up to 20 NiCd/NiMH cells. Use up to seven 4-9 gram servos or above four 17 gram or larger servos without worrying about overheating BEC. It uses a switching regulator to efficiently convert the high pack voltage into 5V/6V to power your receiver without generating a lot of waste heat.

This unit can be installed between your brushless speed controller (ESC) and the receiver. To ensure that radio interfere nce is minimal, ensure that this BEC unit is installed at least 2 inches away from your receiver.

Advantages of an Voltage regulator/BEC:

1)Use of high capacity Lipo batteries for big planes (GAS or Electric): You can use one of your high capacity li-poly batteries to power your servos. This VR would connect between the battery and your receiver and can run up to 8 standard servos.
2)Use of High Voltage Speed controllers: If you are running an electric plane and your ESC does not have a BEC built in, or it is too small, this regulator will power your receiver and servos.
3) MORE POWER or SPEED from your servos: Most ESC provide 4.8~5.0V to the receiver for the servos. If you plug in the VR, your servos can run at 6.0V which produces more torque and faster response! This is for the serious 3D pilot!
